River Walk Shockwaves

River Walk Holiday Luminary Night 2026

Each December since 1988, River Walk neighbors have lined the streets in front of their homes with the warm glow of holiday luminaries. Hosted by the River Walk Shockwaves Swim Team, Luminary Night is one of our neighborhood's most beloved holiday traditions!

Families enjoy driving through River Walk while listening to Christmas music, admiring festive decorations, and taking in the beautiful glow of thousands of luminaries. Whether you've participated for years or are experiencing Luminary Night for the first time, we hope you'll join us for this special evening!

Supporting the River Walk Shockwaves

Luminary Night is the Shockwaves' only major annual fundraiser. Proceeds help us keep participation costs affordable for neighborhood families while supporting equipment, coaching, meet operations, awards, team activities, and the many details that make summer swim season possible.

Making Luminary Night happen is truly a team effort! Each year, swim team families volunteer to collect orders, package supplies, and deliver approximately 500 luminary kits. That's roughly 7,500 candles, thousands of white bags, and more than two tons of sand!

Order Your Luminary Kits

Each kit includes everything needed to create 14 luminaries, along with assembly and display instructions.

• One Kit: $25
• Two Kits: $40

If you live on a corner lot or have a longer stretch of curb in front of your home, we recommend purchasing two kits.

All orders are due Tuesday, November 10, 2026!
